On Monday the fourteenth of October twenty nineteen Year six pupils from Clydach Primary went to The Swansea Archives. They went there to learn about their school, and what it was like in the Victorian times.

When we first arrived at the archives, they thought Mr Mccomas had taken them to a closed place, but after minutes of searching for the entrance, they finally found the door. Mr Mccomas told us to be quiet, because there we people working.

A few moments later, we quietly crept to a room of lockers. We were told to put our bags into the lockers so we would not have to carry them everywhere. After everyone had found a locker, we tip toed to another room. In that room we were told to sit on the carpet once we sat on the carpet, we were split up into groups.

When we were in our groups, we starting reading a book that the HeadTeacher of our school had written in the Victorian times . The book was called a log. The book had stuff about the children who attended the school in Victorian times.

After that we looked at maps, and some more books. In the end we answered all the questions we wanted to know. Because we were good, we got taken down to a room where they kept all the files. We were also shown animal skin, with Latin writing on it. It was written in 1129 and is the oldest record in the archive.

We had great fun looking for information. Reece thought it was fun, and she'd like to do it again. Sophie said, "It was fun to learn about our school in the Victorian times."

Overall everyone thought it was really fun to learn about our school. Most people would like to go again to learn lots more stuff about our amazing school.
