On the 11th February Wales played rugby in the Principality Stadium against England.
It was an amazing start by Wales but then Englands defence was building up and they scored a try. Wales however came back strong and scored a try. Liam Williams scored it. It looked like Wales were going to win but England scored a try right at the death. Caleb's thoughts on the game: "I thought it was a good game and England were lucky to win." The Six Nations continues in two weeks time. Don't miss it! Sorry for the delay in posting. There had been a problem which Weebly has now sorted out. Try your best to learn the poem by Tuesday. Fifteen reward points for those that have made the effort. Listen to Mrs Grey reading it below. Mynd i'r Dre

Mair Elwyn In year 6 we have been doing gymnastics with apparatus using different movements for example shapes, frog jumps and bunny hops. We have been practicing gymnastics movements performed on the equipment. The different movements we have used are the pencil, the barrel roll, the pike and the crab. On the 1st of February, year 6 did a science experiment on sound to see which material blocked the most sound from our iPad which recorded how loud the sound was. The app is called Decibell 10th (dB) and it basically shows a graph about the sound waves around you. First, we put the iPad in a cardboard box to cancel out ambient sounds. Next, we covered the box with a material. After that, we measured from the same height each time. This was to make sure it was a fair test. To record our experiment we took photos and imported them into iMovies to create a slideshow with our narration over it. We drew diagrams to explain the scientific concepts we had learnt about sound. Watch the video below to find out what we discovered! |
