On the 1st of February, year 6 did a science experiment on sound to see which material blocked the most sound from our iPad which recorded how loud the sound was. The app is called Decibell 10th (dB) and it basically shows a graph about the sound waves around you. First, we put the iPad in a cardboard box to cancel out ambient sounds. Next, we covered the box with a material. After that, we measured from the same height each time. This was to make sure it was a fair test. To record our experiment we took photos and imported them into iMovies to create a slideshow with our narration over it. We drew diagrams to explain the scientific concepts we had learnt about sound.
