On Thursday 7th March we had our World Book Day. Nearly everybody dressed up and the people who did dress up had really good costumes. Some people just wore normal clothes but that was the older ones. The little ones dresses up in really good costumes. Lots of people dresses up as people in Harry Potter; their costumes were really cool.
The teachers even dressed up and they had really good costumes. Mrs Wood dressed up as Snow White, Mrs Reese dressed up as the evil queen from Alice in Wonderland, Mr Bevon dressed up as a minion and Mr McComas dressed up as Mr Burns from the Simpsons.
On World Book Day both of the year 6 classes went down to the hall to have a colorfoto picture. Everybody had lots of fun taking the pictures and had fun doing it but lets get back on to World Book Day.
World book day is a day where everybody dresses up as their favourite story book character and it's a day where you have lots of fun dressing up.

On Wednesday 22nd January Mr Slade, who works for the DVLA, came to our school to teach us how to code. Mr McComas wanted us to do something new.
We decide to make a computer games on Scratch for our Cool Stuff Missions.
At the start off the club, Mr Slade taught us how to Log in and get an account on Scratch. It was quite hard for some of us, but we did it in the end.
The next lesson, Mr Slade taught us how to put a background and have a character on Scratch. There are lots off boxes on the left hand side, which we could use to program these characters.
In the third session, Mr Sladen taught us how to move the character for our scratch game, that we had started doing over the weeks.
During the fourth lesson, Mr Slade taught us how to get titles up and to change the colour of the writing and who it was by.
In our final lesson, Mr Slade showed us a 3D game on Scratch and how to make the writing 3D as well. Some of us found it quite hard, but they still kept going and got it right in the end.
We hope Mr Bevan’s class enjoys the next five weeks as much as we have enjoyed making our Scratch characters. Thank you Mr McComas for arranging this club, we had so much fun doing it.
Diolch yn fawr Mr McComas a Mr Slade.
On Tuesday 19th February, we did our names in graffiti art. Our teacher (Mr Mccomas), put on a video to help us with our art. It was a good help. Sir did one as well, he did his name and it was probably the best one in the class. Everybody did lots of colourful drawings of it and had lots of fun. It's in our missions for cool stuff. Lot's of us want to do it again so some of us did it again.
Everybody's graffiti art was cool so our teacher decided to put some our pictures on the wall and even Amy/Mrs Williams did her name and it turned out really good. Amy's/Mrs Williams went on the wall but Mr Mccomas's one didn't.

On Friday the 25th of January the year 6 class along will a couple of year 5's went on a contact rugby festival to represent Clydach primary school.
The festival was at Lon Las primary school; they hosted the event. There were 6 teams at the festival, one school did not know it was contact rugby. It was Tan-Y-Lan primary, they thought it was tag rugby so they brought all their fast players.
The first game that Clydach played was against Tan-Y-Lan primary, they were wearing yellow. Clydach were wearing blue and red stripes, in their opinion, it was the best kit there. It was outside of Lon-Las school it was freezing cold.
Clydach won two games out of 4, and the other to games they lost but not by much points. For Clydach's first contact rugby game they did well, but hope to do better in future.
