On the 22nd of September, year 5 and year 6 went on a trip to the Dylan Thomas Theatre and to the Swansea Museum to find out about life in a coal mine.
We had to bring our own packed lunch. We all got on the bus at 9:00am. As we got there, we had to wait for another school to come. While we were waiting, the man there explained what we were doing. Our classes stayed at the Swansea Museum. We had some work to do, and we got to dress up. Next, we went to the National Waterfront Museum. We went into a room it was all about Victorian miners. We had tables with different activities and we swapped around every 10 minutes. After that we had lunch. We all sat on benches. There were flowers, and they looked really pretty! After awhile we went to the Dylan Thomas Theatre. It was really exciting because there were lots of scares in it. After, we were able to ask the actors and actresses some questions. They had an illusionist work with them to help with tricks: there was one illusion, where a ghost came and the man grabbed it. Suddenly, the ghost fell on the floor. We were confused on how it worked. Then we had to leave. But we all had a great day!
