Today the PDSA lady came to our school and told us about being a vet and looking after animals and keeping them clean and healthy. She brought in a stuffed dog and showed us the different body parts and organs, she also taught us how to know whether our dogs are happy and healthy or not.
She made a slide show which told us which foods they can eat and what foods they can't eat. She told us that Guinea pigs are meant to eat a pile of hay that's the same as their body and the orange bit of the carrot is very sugary and fattening and they shouldn't have too much of it. The green leafy part of the carrot is very healthy for them though!
She showed us the PDSA advert. In the advert it showed pets with their owners, how animals and humans have a special bond which lasts forever and how the PDSA will always be there to help you and your pet through rough times.
