The Osprey, Wales and British Lion rugby player, Justin Tipuric, visited our school today. Year 5 and 6 were very excited.
Justin Tipuric was waiting for us in the hall and we walked in and sat down. We had already prepared questions and we spent about forty minutes questioning him about his life and what it's like being a professional rugby player. Here are some of the questions we asked and his answers: Why do you wear a blue cap? He said it was because when he was younger he had a lot of cuts on his head, his mother told him to wear a skullcap or he wouldn't be allowed to play rugby again and he still wears the same cap today because he thinks that if he changes it his mother wouldn't speak to him again. Has you every screamed at the ref? Yes, when the ref gave a penalty against me and I thought he was wrong. Though I shouldn't have shouted at him. What other sports do you like to play in your spare time? He plays bowls, cricket and football. Do you have to watch what you eat? Yes, the Ospreys test me every 3 weeks for my body fat levels and if they are too high we are told off. We also played a quiz called Kahoot. We made it in class and it is all about Justin Tipuric. Justin played it and won. We all thought he was a really nice guy and very down to earth considering he is a superstar!
