On Friday 23rd March some of the girls of Year 6, Clydach Primary School went on a friendly football competition in Playfootball. The man who was in charge said that this was just to get us ready for a real tournament in May.
When we got there, we went inside to put our bags down and figure out what was going to happen. After we found our pitch to practise on, we started taking in turns to take shots against the goalie, and then Sofie’s dad showed up to help us train. When we were called for our first match against Sketty. We all got our drinks and had a quick swirl. Then we were ready to go and give it our best. Just before the match was about to start we had to choose who was going to be sub, Abbie decided to stand up and say that she would be sub for the first half. Then we had to choose the positions we were going to go in; Kiya was in midfield, Isabelle was in goals, Sofie was up front and Paige and Nancy were in defence. Then the whistle blew and the game began to start. By time the final whistle blew we were winning 0-4 then we went back to our training pitch. Some people went to rest ready for the next match and some people went to watch the team we were going to play next to see how we were.
