Clydach L.M.S. Railway Station - the line closed 1953.
The Midland Railway opened a line at Clydach in 1876. When the railway came to Clydach it soon replaced the canal as the most popular form of transport. It was used to transport coal and people. The railway was a cause of the expansion of Clydach because one of the reasons The Mond Nickel Works chose Clydach was because of its good rail links.
